They spend money to build this ugly thing??? In my opinion it's a thing not a ship...

I hope the next trip of this thing should be around the world to make the other sailors laughing...

And I can ensure you that she looks even uglier when one sees her for real. In addition, this picture clearly depicts one of the best angles to look at her, her stern is just terrible. Even the crew of the Celebrity Eclipse was laughing when it came to talk about the exterior design of this beast.

Fortunately she will be a one-off, since NCL cancelled their order for her sistership. I assume that the new management realized how unappealing the Epic is.

I think the reason they cancelled the second order was because of the enormous cost as they don't really care how appealing or unappealing the ships look externally. All they are interested in is how much revenue they can generate and fill the ship with as many profit making public rooms, gadgets and entertainment as possible! Sad but thats how the industry works nowadays.

Μην ξεχνας αποστολε και norwegian epic για εμενα η κορωνιδα της ασχημια και της υπερεκμεταλευσης
Το Norwegian Epic θα επρεπε να λεγεται Norwegia Tragic!

Δεν νομίζω ότι μπορεί οποιοσδήποτε .....βαπορολάτρης να βρει το παραμικρό όμορφο στοιχείο στην εμφάνιση του NORWEGIAN EPIC. Ίσως βέβαια μετά από καμμία σαρανταριά χρόνια, σε κάποιο αντίστοιχο φόρουμ, οι τότε συμπάσχοντες να το χαρακτηρίζουν ως πανέμορφο και ...all time classic !!! Ωστόσο θα συμφωνήσω απόλυτα με όσα είχε γράψει πριν αρκετό καιρό ο Henry Casciaro :

Και θα συμπληρώσω ότι αντίστοιχα και τους επιβάτες του, ελάχιστα έως και καθόλου υποθέτω τους απασχολούν οι ναυπηγικές του γραμμές, τουλάχιστον σε σχέση με το κόστος και τα λιμάνια - προορισμούς της κρουαζιέρας, τις υπηρεσίες και τις επιλογές διασκέδασης που διαθέτει το πλοίο, και το πόσο ...τεράστιο και επιβλητικό είναι για να το δείχνουν πριν ή μετά με καμάρι στους φίλους τους. Ας μην ξεχνάμε και κάτι βασικό, ότι δηλαδή αυτές τις σύγχρονες πλωτές πολυκατοικίες, δεν τις επιλέγουν για την κρουαζιέρα τους μεγιστάνες ή εκατομμυριούχοι, αλλά ως επί το πλείστον άνθρωποι "μεσαίας οικονομικής δυνατότητας" που πιθανότατα η κρουαζιέρα που θα κάνουν θα είναι και η μοναδική στην ζωή τους.
