Ηere is a photo (http://www.nautilia.gr/gallery.asp?contentid=1140) of Aquamarine, as Odysseus, sailing the Aegean Sea. The picture is taken about 13 years ago.

Aquamarine International was unfortunately short lived. It was a innovative idea at that time, to cruise in "red" China, but it did'nt paid out.
AQUAMARINE was arrested by the bank and laid up.

According to "Liners & Cruise Ships" by A.Cooke, her sale/charter for various operations was rumoured but remained laid up for 7 years. There was a rumour that she was going to return to the Far East for "American Global Cruises" under her previous name of MARCO POLO. Another that she was going to "Rasa Sayang Cruises" to replace the burned out RASA SAYANG. Yet another that she would cruise for "Polaris Cruises" as the AQUAMARINE POLARIS.
The only one that came through was the sale to Epirotiki in 1988.

Hope you enjoy the attached pages taken from the 1980/81 brochure which was a very well produced publication.
Aris do you know if she ever operated any of these cruises at all??
Also I think that this company was related to K Lines Hellenic or Kavounides or was a subsidiary company, can you confirm this.

All the best

This brochure must be very rare... I suppose that she did'nt sailed on any of them. The first one was scheduled for April 1980 and the information that A.Cooke gives at this book "Liners & Cruise Ships" is that she was laid up at Hong Kong since April 1980.
Aquamarine was indeed a company that belonged to Kavounides, I suppose you can call it a sister company to K-Lines.
