Stylis provided the natural harbor of Lamia for more than 100 years of Greek passenger shipping. The town and its harbor were ports of call of the various Evoikos ships. The typical run was Piraeus, Lavrion, Aliverion, Chalkis, Limne, Stylida, Oreoi, Volos (sometimes continuing to Thessaloniki).
