Amaliapolis, otherwise known as Nea Mitzela, is a small town in Magnesia with no more than 1,500 people. This town was the northernmost town in the pre-1864 Greece For this reason, she was named after then Queen Amalia. It served as the "harbor" of Almyros and as such she was a port of call in the Northern Evoikos line. Here is for example a Goudes Line schedule from July 24, 1908 with a stop there.

Elizabeth is a cruise ship that is used for one day cruises from Amaliapolis to Skiathos island. It is mainly used from tourist groups and the locals when they wish to visit Skiathos.
