Magda was a passenger and cargo ship of the Fokaiki Atmoploia (SA Belge d'Armement et de Navigation à Vapeur "La Phocéenne") that served the Greek seas for about 12 years before and after World War I.
The ship was built as Brunswick in 1870 by the Laird Bros shipyard in Birkenhead and was owned by Liverpool & Maranhan Steamship Co. Miramar gives a tonnage of 916 tons, but her real tonnage was 1158 tons. Her length was 78.6 m and her width 9.1 m. Little is presented in Miramar

She was sold to the Mossgiel Steamship Co in 1898 and named Stromboli, In that capacity she was involved with trade in Italy.
Then in 1907 she was named Magda

1.2.1916: requisitioned by Administration de la Marine
16.5.1916 loaned to France
20.6.1916: Greek crew replaced by British one at Marseilles
21.6.1916: becomes HMT E 816, ammunition and oil transport, managed by the Khedivial Mail Steamship C°, Alexandria (Br)
1919: calls at Antwerp which becomes her homeport (however, still Greek owner, master and crew of 36)
It is unclear what happened after that as she was listed as Manon in .. French Castellorizo in 1919-1921. Then,
in 1922 she came to Constantinople and named Eliane.
In 1925, she became the cargo ship Adana based again in Constantinople. In 1942 she transferred to Fehmi
Sadikoglu. She was scrapped in 1943 at age 73!
