The "other" Elpiniki, the first one, was a ship of the Ahaiki Atmoploia that had a very small history in Greece, just two years, mostly because of the outbreak of World War I.

She was built as the Dutch ship Prins Willem III and belonged to the West-Indische Mail Co. As such her trips were from Amsterdam to Paramaribo of Butch Guyana (today Surinam), Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire, Saba, St Eustatius, Habana, New York and back to Amsterdam

Prins Willem III was sold to Morphy, Crowe and Stevens, aka the Ahaiki Atmoploia and was named Elpiniki. She seems to have been an incredibly versatile ship as the schedule of March 9, 1914 shows!

In 1916 she was sold to the Antippa company and was used as a cargo ship. She was mined on November 28, 1917. See http://www.uboat.net/wwi/ships_hit/2432.html
