Κλειώ, του McDowall & Barbour [Clio, Merrick, La Valette, South Western]
Clio was a passenger ship of the late 1880s that belonged to McDowall & Barbour, the well known "Tzon" Shipping Co that started in 1893 as Nea Elliniki Aktoploia.
The ship had 400 tons and 12 knots speed. It was one of the fastest of Tzon's ships. But the ship is known mostly for its shipwreck that took place in the Sothern Evoikos Gulf in 1904, on Epiphany day, January 6.
I am appending here the presentation of the sinking from the Greek paper Skrip of January 1904.
