SS TAIPOOSHAN

Enjoy the rare and magnificent postcard of 60-70's Hong-Kong based passenger ship the SS TAIPOOSHAN.

Her history dates back, as follows:
Completed by Vickers Armstrong in 1948, as Elder Dempster liner SS Apapa.
She was sold to Shun Cheong Steam Navigation Company of Hong Kong in 1968 and renamed Taipooshan.
She was employed on the company's liner service from Hong Kong via Singapore to Penang.
Painted all white with Shun Cheong's colourful funnel she looked very smart until the 28 February 1975 when she arrived at Kaohsiung to be broken up.
