A Greek-operated cruiseship has suffered a gash in a ballast tank after hitting an unmarked shoal off Norway.
The 22,100-gt Marco Polo (built 1965) briefly came into contact with the seabed on 9 March after leaving the port of Sortland, local reports said.
A diver was sent to inspect the hull and found a 40cm hole in one tank.
The vessel returned to Sortland before it was temporarily repaired. It then left to continue its voyage.
The ship is operated by Global Cruise Lines of Greece.
