Yes, indeed. A lovely ship built in 1962. Here a photo of the onside.

Aerial view of "Lydia" in the travel agency of HELMES in Corfu Island (not very well photographed).

The ex-"Koningin Fabiola" launched on 20 nov 1961 at the Boelwerf Temse Belgium.
And on her sea trials. The first Ostend Ferry to be built by Boelwerf and the first to be fitted with a bow-trust unit (her on the photo in use)

As far as I know, she wasn't built at Cockerill yards, as they wouldn't have her ready for the 1962 season. So RMT chose the Joseph Boel et Fils S.A., at Temse!

Yes, the "Koningin Fabiola" was built by Boelwerf Temse, further up river "Schelde" from Hoboken. The Ostend-Dover Line was running from the "Belgian Marine Authority" in the ministry of Transport. Only on 1 nov 1971 became the line RMT (regie maritime transport) still a nationalised concern but with more commercial indenpendence.
What was the name of the company before Regie voor Maritime Transport then (in Flemish)?
