Το 1999 εχω την εντυπωση οτι πηρε φωτια και τελικα μισοβουλιαξε διπλα ακριβως απο το Melody. Την ιδια χρονια ανελκυστηκε και μεταφερθηκε σε μαυρο χαλι νομιζω στην Κυνοσουρα. Απο κει και περα φανταζομαι οτι η που (ξανα) βουλιαξε επιτοπου η που πηγε για scrap προς Ελευσινα η προς Aliaga μερια. Δεν γνωριζω ακριβως το τελος του.

I have a question and I hope someone can help me a bit.
I'm a ship interested guy from Germany and I'm looking for the small ship BLUE SKY II, that was sold to Greece in the year 1999. I know this ship from its time in Germany when it was in service to the island Helgoland.

It was laid up at Marina Flisvos and
I think there was a fire in the engine-room.
But after that any information is missing.
(Obviously it was salvaged by the LYBOUSSAKIS TOWAGE & SALVAGE.

Does anyone know this ship? Is it still existing?
I'm thankful for any further information.

Dear Eike, the ship was towed on fire to Atalante islet off Piraeus and grounded there next to wreck of the MELODY. She was soon refloated by Lyboussakis and towed to Ambelakia Bay in Salamis. I know that she is not there, and probably did'nt stayed long. I guess that she was scrapped soon afterwards but I am not aware of the date.

00.10.1999 Während der Umbauarbeiten bricht ein Brand an Bord aus und
das brennende Schiff wird unter Schlepperhilfe auf den Strand
der Insel Atalante ausserhalb von Piräeus gesetzt.
28.10.1999 Beginn der Bergungsarbeiten des halb gesunkenen Schiffs
29.100.199 das Wrack ist schwimmfähig und wird in die
Ambelakia Bay in Salamis geschleppt.
00.12.1999 das Wrack wird nach Aliaga in die Türkischen Ägäis geschleppt
00.03.2000 Abbruch bei der Cukurova Celik Endustrisi A.S. beendet
