THE LAUNCHING OF OLYMPIA
The Greek naval architect Konstantinos Filippou had studied naval engineering in Glasgow and was present during Olympia's launching. Here are his memoirs as presented in his book Diadromh Enos Aiwna (J&J Hellas, 2002) with permission.

Ship model in a travel agency
Let's see some details of a model of "Olympia" in a travel agency in Piraeus (close to the pier "Diakosaria", ex pier Vassileos Konstantinou).
I am terribly sorry for the very low quality of the photos.
But the travel agency was closed and I couldn't take better shots at that time.
The photos were taken 10 years ago.

i saw many modells in piräeus 1997
the model from a olympia i saw ...............wait......... i think that was a shop or bank,no shop!old shop!in the front of the port/bus-station
and when i remember right.......a bookshop!!!!!!!!!!!
tell me not , this is this model ;-)))
one from the andrea doria stay in a bank in the backroom of the office
