Kαι ένα σχέδιο του πλοίου ως γερμανικό νοσοκομειακό GRAZ. Ήταν το μόνο πλοίο του στόλου που έπεσε άθιχτο στα χέρια των γερμανών. Δεν ακολούθησε την οδό διαφυγής προς την Αλεξάνδρεια επειδή ήταν πολύ αργό αλλά δεν γνωρίζω το λόγο που δεν το σαμποτάρανε. Συνημμένο Αρχείο 47927

Χρησιμοποιήθηκε σαν πλωτό Νοσοκομείο στον Β' Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο. Αιχμαλωτίσθηκε από τη Γερμανία και μετονομάσθηκε σε ʽΓΚΡΑΤΣʼ. Στις 5 Δεκεμβρίου 1942 βυθίστηκε με το όνομα ΓΚΡΑΤΣ και υπό Γερμανική σημαία στο λιμάνι Μπιζέρτας από Υ/Β Βρετανικό."

Δυο φωτογραφίες του ¶ΡΗΣ ως GRAZ όταν είχε πέσει στα χέρια των Γερμανών.

Jan 28, 1927 Launched by the Greek Navy.

1927 Completed as the Greek Naval school ship Ares.

May, 1941 Seized by the Germans in Salamis Bay, Greece.

May 15, 1941 Into Kriegsmarine service as a hospital ship.

Nov 28, 1941 Renamed as the Lazarettschiffe Graz.

Dec 5, 1942 Graz struck mine at 06.15hr while off Cani Island, 10nm northeast of Bizerta, and sunk.

Στον τίτλο του θέματος το ΙV έτσι όπως είναι,φαίνεται σαν μέρος του ονόματος. Θα πρέπει είτε να μπει σε παρένθεση που σημαίνει ξεκάθαρα είναι το 4ο με αυτό το όνομα στο ΠΝ είτε σε παρένθεση το έτος παράδοσης ( 1927 ).

- Espece: Bq (Barque)
- Captain: Arvanitti, C (in 4.1881)

Dear Alexis, the name Aghios Nicolaos was very common among Greek sailing ships. If you could give us a more precise date of the event at Constanza, maybe we could trace her through the newspapers of that time.

I quote below in full text .... unknown author which ..... weekly "Literary Feast" in 1911, the number 40, of 4 October. I kept the original spelling and title.

FLOATING FIRE Literary Feast 40/1911

A week sailing the Greek T-you Santa, with a cargo of 85,000 pounds of gasoline in [konwiach] and drums, became a victim of the disaster. He rested in the port of Constanza and had just come out of the cargo said to of Greece, if for some reason the bottom of the vessel appeared in the flames that instantly covered the whole ship. The crew managed to luckily escaped from the burning ship, which immediately towed at the open sea, where they completely burned.
