Ellinis, only because you mentioned it here and only because you seem to be interested in whaler ships, I upload her an article from yesterday's Figaro which discusses the disgraceful way the Soviet Union was killing whales from 1947 to 1973 using these two ships... Sovestskaya Ukraina and Sovetskaya Rossiya
Newspaper June 2009.jpg
Over the past few months, several of us have uploaded photos and articles about very early post-war passenger ships that came from corvettes or old ship given to us in reparation...
We have the "schedules" of those days to remind us of these heroic ships...
October 12 and December 7, 1946; April 12, April 26, and May 3, 1947
1947a.jpg
May 10, May 24 and August 9, 1947
1948a.jpg
I would like to summarize what we know about these ships:
NB: Please do not rush to tell me I forgot a few... I mention here only those that appeared in official government schedules)

19451013 Corvettes.jpg
Υπό ελληνική ιδιοκτησία ανήκε στην Cia Panamena Monagre S.A. To 1954 πουλήθηκε στην Tasman S.S.

Efthalia.jpg

Efthalia 4-47.jpg
