TWO UNKNOWN CASPIAN SEA PASSENGER SHIPS

Something different, some rare postcards images from two USSR passenger ships originally ordered by Ministerstvo Gazovoj Promeshlennosti - Ministry of the Gas Industry of the USSR (Ministerstvo Morskogo Flota), managed by - SOCAR ( Azerbaydzhan Shipping Company )as passenger ships to be used mainly for workers in sea platforms at Baku Sea Oil Field, also for tourists/passengers that wanted to explore this region.

These ships were somehow unique, because instead of MORFLOT "classic" Red funnel ribbond, had GazProm fleet blue funnel ribbond with under and over lines in red.

САБИТ ОРУДЖЁВ" - incorrectly in Lloyd's Register all years written as "SABIT ORUDZHEV" - however the Russian letter ë is the "jo" or "yo"(for English, French and Spanish) - so the name should have all the years been written "SABIT ORUDZHYOV" or even "ORUDZHIOV" hence the name became ORUDCOV in Azeri.
