    Ðñïêåéôáé ãéá åíá ðáìðáëáéï ðëïéï ðïõ ìáëëïí åìåéíå ëáöõñï ôïõ ðïëåìïõ. Åé÷å íáõðçãçèåé ôï 1892 áðï ôçí S.P.Austin & Son óôï Óáíôåñëáíô ôçò âïñåéïáíáôïëéêçò Áããëéáò ìå ôï ïíïìá St. Dunstan. Áëëá ïíïìáôá ðïõ ðçñå çôáí (áðï ôï 1937) êáé Carlo Zeno, Mirone, Ljubica, Ljubica Matcovicêáé Êáôéíá Ð. ÉÉ (1939−40). Ôï ðëïéï åé÷å ìåãáëç éóôïñéá óáí Êáôéíá Ð ÉÉ êáèùò îñçóéìïðïéçèçêå ãéá ôçí ìåôáöïñá Åâñáéùí óôçí Ðáëáéóôéíç ôï 1939. Äéáâáóôå åäù.

    Organized by Revisionists
    Picked up 850 passengers at Balchik, Romania, who had come down the Danube in sealed trains from Czechoslovakia. The engines broke down after she sailed and most her stores were ruined by sea water. On 6 Feb 1939 237 passengers were transferred to Artemisia (No. 20). The Katina went back to Greece when the Artemisia did not return. She was then sent to pick up the marooned survivors of the Chepo (No. 28) bringing her passenger list to 1,250. About 600 were landed at Netanya but British ships fired on her and she returned to Greece. The remainder were finally landed in April but many had to abandon their belongings.

    Ôï ðëïéï áõôï åéíáé åíá ìåãáëï åñùôçìáôéêï ãéá ìáò. Åìöáíéóèçêå óôá ìåôáðïëåìéêá äñïìïëïãéá ãéá ðñùôç öïñá óôéò 25/5/1945. Åêáíå ôáîéäéá óôçí Óõñï, óôçí Ìõôéëçíç êáé Ìïõäñï. Óõíå÷éæå íá êáíåé ôáîéäéá êáé ôï 1946−48!

    Ðáñáêáëù êïéôáîôå ôá êïëëáæ åéäçóåùí áðï ôçí ðåñéïäï åêåéíç ðáñá êáôù. Ôï Õðïõñãåéï Åìðïñéêçò Íáõôéëéáò ðñïóðáèçóå íá ôï ðïõëçóåé ôïí Áõãïõóôï 1948 ãéá 14.000 ëéñåò áëëá ÷ùñéò áðïôåëåóìá. Ðñïóðáèçóå îáíá (ìå êëáóóéêï ãñáöåéïêñáôéêï ðåéóìá êñáôùíôáò ôçí ôéìç óôï éäéï åðéðåäï) óôá ôåëç Íïåìâñéïõ 1948. Ôï éäéï áðïôåëåóìá!!!! Êáé ìåôá, âñéóêïõìå áíáêïéíùóç áðï ôéò 20 Íïåìâñéïõ 1951 ïôé ôï ðëïéï çôáí óôá Áìðåëáêéá ãéá ... åîáãùãç óôçí Éôáëéá!

    Áí îåñåé êáíåíáò ðáëéïò ôï áðåãéíå ìå ôï ðëïéï ç áí ï Ellinis å÷åé êáéñï íá øáîåé ôá ðáëéá Íáõôéëá ×ñïíéêá èá ìáèáéíáìå ðåñéóóïôåñá. Ðáíôùò åìåíá ç ãíùìç ìïõ åéíáé ïôé çôáí åíá ðáëéï Ãåñìáíéêï (ïðùò êáé ôï ×áëêéäéêç) êáé ãé áõôï äåí ìðïñïõóáí íá ôï ðïõëçóïõí ðéá... Ì' áõôï óõìöùíåé êáé ôï åîçò êåéìåíï ôïõ Ellinis

    The Revisionist Movement (led by Jabotinsky) also managed to bring to Israeli shores several ships: a convoy of 3 boats "Af Al Pi" (means Nevertheless) with 381 "Betar" members from Vienna; and the ships "Draga A" and "Draga B" that arrived in October-November 1938 with 730 immigrants. Also there were private organizations that brought Ma'apilim (illegal immigrants) to Israel as Dr. Baruch Confino from Bulgaria. Most of the times that the people got ashore without being caught were when the private and Revisionists operations cooperated with the Hagana (Mossad) that met the ships in mid-sea with small paddle boats.

    Empire Consort was a 1,175 GRT cargo ship which was built by Stettiner Oderwerke AG, Stettin. Launched in 1922 as Gisela L M Russ for Ernst Russ, Hamburg. Seized in May 1945 at Flensburg. To MoWT and renamed Empire Consort. Allocated in 1946 to Greece. To Greek Government and renamed Volos. Sold in 1948 to M A Karageorgis, Greece and renamed Marios II. On 19 February 1959 she suffered a boiler explosion while on a voyage between Stratoni and Piraeus. Taken in tow but sank.

    Empire Exe was a 2,371 GRT cargo ship which was built by Howaldtswerke, Kiel. Launched in 1921 as Possehl for Lübeck Line, Lübeck. Seized in May 1945 at Lübeck, to MoWT and renamed Empire Exe. Allocated in 1947 to Greece. To Greek Government and renamed Hermoupolis. Sold in 1948 to T J Lavangras & Co, Greece, used as a dept ship. Sold in 1966 to P Perdikis, Greeze and renamed Pilion. Sold in 1967 to Tina Shipping Co, Cyprus and renamed Nigma. Laid up in November 1967 at Aden with boiler damage. Arrived under tow at KArachi in November 1969 for scrapping.

    Empire Soar was a 2,740 GRT cargo ship which was built by Blyth Shipbuilding & Drydock & Co. Completed in 1924 as Tullochmoor. Sold in 1936 to Franz L Nimitz, Stettin. Seized as a wr prize in May 1945 at Hamburg. To MoWT and renamed Empire Soar. Allocated in 1946 to Greece. To the Greek Government and renamed Preveza. Sold in 1948 to Synodinos Brothers, Greece and renamed Danapris. Sold in 1957 to A Angelicoussis & Co, Greece and renamed Armonia. Sold in 1959 to Keanyew Shipping Co, Panama and reamed Keanyew. Sold in 1960 to Southern Commercial Co, Panama and renamed Charlie. Scrapped in January 1960 at Hong Kong.

    Empire Gavel was a 1,923 GRT cargo ship which was built by Lübecker Flenderwerke AG, Lübeck. Launched in 1944 as Setubal for Oldenberg-Portuguese Line. Seized in May 1945 at Lübeck. To MoWT and renamed Empire Gavel. Allocated to Greece in 1946 and renamed Rodopi. Sold in 1949 to Hellenic Lines, Greece. Scrapped in April 1974 in Turkey.

    1943, 18. Juni: Die KMD Hamburg schlägt dem OKM als Zielschiff für das Torpedoversuchs-kommando Eckernförde KT 3 vor. [ Kurzzeitig durchgeführt ? }
    1944, 24. April: Lt. Reedereimeldung vor Norwegen durch Minentreffer beschädigt.
    26.April: Als letztes Schiff im Geleitzug "Bodö 224" ( Ladung 250 ts Nickelerz und 2,3 ts alte Marinefahrzeuge) auf Pos. 66° N - 13°57 E durch 30 Flugzeuge angegriffen und nach Bombenvolltreffer in Luke 2 und umfangreichen Beschußschäden südlich Veösky ( bei Rösögstje ) auf Strand gesetzt ( brennend ?? ) und von der Besatzung verlassen. 10 Verletzte, 2 Flugzeuge abgeschossen (s.     Ï Ã.ÊáñôáðÜíçò áíáöÝñåé ôá ðáñáêÜôù åíäéáöÝñïíôá óå áíÜñôçóç ôïõ óôïí Ôá÷õäñüìï ôçò Èåóóáëßáò:
    Óáí íá ìçí Ýöèáíáí ôá íáõÜãéá ðïõ ðáñÝìåíáí áêüìç âõèéóìÝíá óôï ëéìÜíé ôïõ Âüëïõ, ìÝóá êé Ýîù áðü áõôü, äýï ÷ñüíéá ìåôÜ ôçí áðåëåõèÝñùóç, Þñèå íá ðñïóôåèåß êé åêåßíï ôïõ á/ð. ÈÞñá óôéò 22/12/1946, üôáí ðñïóÝêñïõóå óå ìáãíçôéêÞ íÜñêç êáé âõèßóôçêå óôï óçìåßï ðïõ Þäç âñßóêïíôáí âïõëéáãìÝíç ãåñìáíéêÞ ôïñðéëÜêáôïò, ëßãåò åêáôïíôÜäåò ìÝôñá áðü ôçí åßóïäï ôïõ ëéìáíéïý. Ôï ðëïßï ìåôÝöåñå äéÜöïñá åßäç ðñïïñéæüìåíá êõñßùò ãéá ôïí óôñáôü êáé áìÝóùò ìåôÜ ôï íáõÜãéï äéáôÜ÷èçêå ç öñïýñçóÞ ôïõ, þóôå í’ áðïôñáðïýí ïé åðßäïîïé åðéäñïìåßò, ðïõ Þäç åß÷áí åìöáíéóôåß ðåñéóõëëÝãïíôáò üôé åðÝðëåå. Ç «áíáêïßíùóéò ôïõ Ëéìåíáñ÷åßïõ» äåí óÞêùíå áìöéóâçôÞóåéò:

    Ôï á/ð ÈÞñá âõèßóôçêå óôéò 22/12/1946 Ýîù áðü ôï ëéìÜíé ôïõ Âüëïõ, üôáí Þñèå óå åðáöÞ ìå ìáãíçôéêÞ íÜñêç, ðéèáíüí áðü ôï âõèéóìÝíï åêåß ðïëåìéêü óêÜöïò ôï 1944, Þ áðïìåéíÜñé áðü ôéò ðïíôßóåéò íáñêþí óôç äéÜñêåéá ôïõ ðïëÝìïõ ðïõ åß÷å äéáöýãåé áðü ôçí åêêáèáñéóôéêÞ íáñêáëéåßá.
    ...ôï êñÜôïò äåí öáßíïíôáí äéáôéèÝìåíï íá ðñï÷ùñÞóåé óôçí ðïëõäÜðáíç áíÝëêõóç ôïõ á/ð.
