A third (and most well known) Aetos was the vessel belonging to the Riggas Line from 1928-33. See also http://www.nautilia.gr/forum/showpos...9&postcount=17

I do not know much about her early days. I beleive she joined Apostolos Riggas and his company around July 1928 because the following ad from August 17, 1928 presents her as a glorious American yacht, recently added, of speed of 18 knots and of "dreamy saloons". She must have been rather nice because she had A, B and C class rooms!

Aetos seemed to go both from Thesaloniki to Volos and Piraeus, as well as from Piraeus to the Ionian islands!

How did she look? A nice painting of Velentzas is available!

In 1929 she became a member of the Aktoploia tis Ellados (A. Riggas was the secretary of the company) but by 1933 she was not listed any more!

Here is another ad from Thessaloniki to Volos on August 12, 1932
