Dear friends, if you are a ships postacrds collector and may be interested in exchanging ships postcards with me,please email to: [email protected]
A beautiful ship with a long career, she lasted for 60 years.
She was built for Dutch owners as the PATRIA in 1919. Sold to Soviet Union in 1935 and renamed SVIR, she was sunk during the Leningrand seige. Raised postwar and repaired as the ALEKSANDR MOZHAISKY, she served in the Far East routes.
Dimas, check the excellent "Fesco" website, for many old soviet liners. ALEKSANDR MOZHAISKY has a page there as well.
Here she is off Hong Kong in 1979 on her delivery to the scrappers.

PATRIA was a very well known interwar ship of the Rotterdam Lloyd which concentrated on trips to Indonesia and the Dutch colonies in the area.
